How effective is cervical sympathetic block (also known as Stellate Ganglion Block or SGB) for PTSD?

This retrospective analysis examined outcomes across multiple patient cohorts and found that cervical sympathetic block was associated with significant improvements in PTSD symptoms regardless of age, gender, trauma type, prior medication use, or history of suicide attempts. While the study has important limitations—including its retrospective design—it adds to the growing body of evidence supporting the role of sympathetic nervous system regulation in trauma recovery.
