The Science & Procedure
Neuro Sympathetic RESET (NSR) is a 20-minute outpatient procedure that has been shown highly effective in the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD/PTSI, hormone imbalance, menopause, and several other conditions associated with a dysfunctional sympathetic nervous system.
Introduction to the Procedure
Menopause is a natural process typically occurring between the ages of 45 and 55, marking the end of a woman's reproductive years and signifying a new chapter in life. However, this transition can bring various undesirable symptoms, such as hot flashes, mood swings, brain fog, and sleep disturbance. Although hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is considered an effective treatment for menopause, some individuals may opt to avoid HRT or may have contraindications to its use. In 2023, the North American Menopause Society released guidelines listing the Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) as a non-hormonal alternative for treating menopause. Our optimized version of the SGB is termed the Neuro Sympathetic Reset (NSR). This simple and well-tolerated 20-minute procedure provides a drug-free approach to symptom control by addressing the root cause of menopausal symptoms. The injection, done under ultrasound guidance, can help regulate blood flow, restore temperature regulation, and curb hot flashes. By targeting the part of the nervous system responsible for the "fight or flight" response, NSR also helps reduce anxiety, aids in restorative sleep, and improves mental clarity.
