Neuro Sympathetic Reset
Neuro Sympathetic Reset (NSR) is a specialized, physician-performed procedure designed to calm an overactive stress response at its source. It is built on the foundation of the stellate ganglion block (SGB), a well-established medical procedure that targets the sympathetic nervous system, the part of the body responsible for the “fight, flight, or freeze” response.
For many individuals, especially after prolonged stress or trauma, this system can become stuck in an overactive state. This may contribute to symptoms such as anxiety, hypervigilance, poor sleep, emotional overwhelm, and a constant sense of being “on edge.” NSR works by helping regulate this response, allowing the nervous system to shift toward a more balanced and calm state.
At Reset Medical & Wellness Center, we use a refined, dual-level, ultrasound-guided approach combined with a trauma-informed model of care and structured follow-up. This comprehensive approach is designed not only to improve symptoms but also to support meaningful, lasting change by helping patients feel more grounded, regulated, and able to engage in their daily lives and other therapies.
NSR has been associated with meaningful clinical improvement in many patients experiencing symptoms related to PTSD and PTSI, anxiety, depression, insomnia, Long COVID, chronic fatigue, and dysautonomia. By helping regulate the body’s stress response, it may also create the conditions for improved emotional regulation and allow patients to engage more effectively in other therapies.

What Makes NSR Different
While NSR is rooted in the stellate ganglion block (SGB), what sets it apart is not just the technique, it is the entire model of care surrounding it. Refined Dual-Level Approach We utilize a precise, ultrasound-guided technique targeting two levels of the cervical sympathetic chain. This refined approach is designed to more effectively regulate the nervous system compared to traditional single-level procedures. Trauma-Informed Care Model From the first interaction through recovery, every step is designed with psychological safety in mind. Clear communication, a calm environment, and a predictable process help reduce anxiety and build trust, which can directly impact outcomes for patients with trauma-related symptoms. Physician-Performed, Specialized Care All procedures are performed by an experienced physician with extensive background in interventional pain management and autonomic nervous system treatments, ensuring a high level of precision, safety, and consistency. Structured Integration and Follow-Up NSR is not approached as a one-time procedure. Patients are guided through next steps, including integration with psychotherapy and other supportive therapies, to help reinforce and extend the benefits of treatment. Ongoing Research and Clinical Experience Our approach is informed by both clinical experience and active research focused on autonomic nervous system regulation and trauma-related conditions, allowing us to continuously refine and improve patient care.
